She is a sensible and pragmatic girl, serving as a foil to Sasshi's more carefree nature. Arumi's eccentric father and stubborn grandfather own a French restaurant in the arcade called Grill Pelican. However, due to upcoming redevelopment in the area, the Asahina family is planning to close their shop and move to Hokkaido, which means Arumi will have to leave Sasshi behind.
