----------------------------------------

Another short chapter, only 12 pages. :/

Magato seems to be slightly obsessed with Naoto...

Pretty damn short chapter there... But I lol'ed at Magato, he's a kinda good character xD

The manga became quite interesting since they started the flashback, I'm really looking forward to the next one.

Yeah someone gave me comparison pics in another thread, he puts backgrounds and cleans up quality for the volume releases.

I just compare it to other mangaka who throw out weekly, or even monthly manga. They have way more content, backgrounds, and even if they do clean up or add some more for volume releases, you don't necessarily see them throwing out less content for that reason.

Painfully slow arcs where chapters could be summed up in 3/4 pages, or rushed? Hmmm. I think I'd go for rushed if it gave me enough content to absorb.

So wait? It's small because he doesn't have enough space in his volume?

For a guy who continually puts out 16-19 pages monthly that really shouldn't be a problem.

I think it's only 12 pages because he needs to do some work for the upcoming volume release.

It's not like he's being lazy anyway, if he was then he'd just release lesser pages monthly without doing any other projects right? Don't get me wrong, I felt the whole flashback arc was kind of dragging and wished for more, but I'd very much prefer a slow pace for some time in a manga than a rushed one. :|

12 pages?!

What's wrong with the guy lately?

I'm guessing that's a raw, though?

Right, that's more reasonable then, I was looking around to see if Miwa had any assistants. One mangaka *was* an assistant, not sure about anymore.

Going from 20+ pages (without an assistant) to 16-12 (which can be summed up in 3-4 pages) is still pretty poor, not as if he draws backgrounds or anything (until the new volume release, apparently).

Yeah, the chapters seem to get shorter and shorter...

Yes, it's a raw, but there is a translation too on livejournal. Here's the link if you want to take a look: http://community.livejournal.com/dogs_manga/418403.html

The chapter is short because of the coming volume 6, I said it, didn't I? Miwa needs to do lots of filling spaces on panels for the volume, so... Otherwise, hillarious chapter, nice change of pace after all the angsty ones.

They have crowds, literally crows of assistants who do almost all the work, except for initial sketches. Miwa-sensei works alone, ALONE at all.
