I didn't knew the chieftain of the village must be the ace pilot for the empire they are a part of. Also, Nausicaa was not the only child but the only surviving child. She seem to be a good pilot too. The next chapter is where the freighter which got attack will begin. The art isn't detailed but is lovely.  

As you go on the world is actually a lot more lush and populated than the movie portrays it, as far as a post apocalyptic world can be at least
