Akira Chapter 90 Discussion

Episode 90: Pages 297-315 of volume 5 of the Kodansha publication.



I gotta say, this whole entire volume has been really slow so far. Some minor action here and there, a lot of scene setting, but mostly just a constant amount of setup towards some future payoff. I have to wonder if volume 6 is going to deliver on everything volume 5 has promised so far.



Chapter ends with Kaneda rallying up Joker and the other bikers to ride out in order to take on Tetsuo. Meanwhile, Tetsuo having another mental breakdown in Kaori's arms.
