Akira Chapter 78 Discussion

Episode 78: Pages 103-118 of volume 5 of the Kodansha publication.



Another classic Akira chapter of pure action. The chapter ends with the giant guy walking into the room where they're keeping Chiyoko.

[I am reading the DarkHorse issue of Akira. Here 120 chapters are converted into 38 parts. And the sequence of event is mixed up to match the new format. So, I know how many chapters I have read but do not know what part belong to which chapter.]



Kei and Kaneda's chemistry is written exactly like best buddies. In this issue (no. 25), we see huge changes in Akira and Tetsuo's body language. And Tetsuo new look is very interesting. I wonder if they were actually playing which caused that Earthquake or something else. I wonder if the caretaker bot can carry Kiyoko and what will that glasses wearing goon do with her?
