Maison Ikkoku Chapter 67 Discussion

                        I have no way of knowing as the numbering of the chapters in the torrent I have are all kinds of wonky, so I'm going to spoiler just in case I got the chapter wrong. Normally, I wouldn't comment just in case but this chapter was so strong I kind of felt I had to say something:




Recently, we've been seeing Kyoko's not so nice side in the form of jealousy and the like. Also, Yusaku is starting to get tired of her jealous streak and called her out on it. Of course, this eventually landed him in the hospital. There was some, uh, serious tension when the two met in hospital room. I don't remember being so into this scene when I saw the anime.



Good stuff.

Wow the manga handled this part so much better than the one in anime. We got to see the actual big fight between Godai and Kyoko. The tension buildup and the jealousy is strong here to the point of they calling each other out. One being indecisive and a wimp. The other one being too stubborn and jealous. Damn it if only they adapt this chapter faithfully. I can't wait to finish the manga already.
