One thing that is pretty weird for me about Viz's translation is that Godai and Kyoko refer to each other on a first name basis, whereas from what i remember from the anime it takes quite a while for the two of them to break that barrier.
Anyway, Godai is reminded of the rather large shadow that Souichirou casts.
