I think it was slightly longer in the anime, but not but much. I think Ritsuko seeing it happen was different too. Her mother definitely has some issues, just killing kid Rei like that, then offing herself.



It's clear now that there are multiple Rei's. And it'll be fun to see Shinji's reaction when he finds out the truth.

How ironic of Dr. Akagi to fall and die on the Melchior part of Magi. Poor Ritsuko. At this point Gendo is literally the symbol of an utter bellend.

Finally Shinji and Misato will get to know the secret behind Rei.

Ah, so we did get Ritsuko's past with her mother after all. I don't believe she saw her kill Rei I in the anime, so that was interesting.

This was handled way better in the anime.
