Neon Genesis Evangelion Chapter 64 Discussion

Rei's turn to get the spot here, as she is getting her butt kicked by the angel. I was wondering how the manga will handle Kaworu being there. Giant chainsaw should have been in the anime, that would have been awesome.

Rei is finally crying and feeling emotions. Great. She has developed so much as a character and I like her manga version much more than her Anime counterpart.

What a fabulous chapter.

Rei's feelings come to the forefront, and ironically it took an Angel to make her realize her insecurities. Gendo never ceases to surprise me, given the fact that it took quite some time for him to decide to let Shinji join the fight, particularly given Rei's life at stake.

Kaworu turned out to be all bark and no bite, at least in his human form.

So, we got a glimpse into Rei now. It turns out she is feeling a great deal of jealousy over Shinji visiting Asuka in the hospital every day. Also, it seems Gendo has seen enough and orders Shinji to help. Will he make it in time? And, even if he does, will it matter?

Rei's straight up having an internal monologue while she's getting railed by an angel. I wonder if the sort of thing happens in real life
