                ----------------------------------------

That was some cold shit with the minefield flashback, but why did Endo have to ruin it with the maniacal laughing bad guy?  Its more horrific when the bad guy is realistically portrayed by being uncaring of the misery he's causing.

Do we think the men who create child soldiers in Africa, for example, are laughing maniacally while destroying lives around them?  Nope, they've probably got an uncomprehending bored expression on their hateful faces.  That or they're barking like dogs.  Maybe some would laugh, but its such a cliche and I'm tired of it.

We dont need to see the bad guy laugh, we get it already, he's a bad guy because he's already shot a girl in the leg!

Good stuff, no idea why Beatnik has a problem with it but whatever. I'm fairly certain there have been people in such a situation where they did get their jollies off from other peoples suffering. In fact, I'm sure of it.

Wycliffe past is horrid and that slaughter really horrific. And I curious what will Katia do about their situations ?

This might be the moment Kachua's waiting for her whole life, to do something of her own free will. That's why she has changed a bit as a character.

The backstory with the minefield was horrendous. The guy's creepy laugh made it more sickening. Power can give you an illusion of being a god it seems.

My biggest problem is the shift in Kachua's personality, why has nobody else picked up on this? She starts off some gimped girl that was apparently forced in to prostitution after escaping an ethnic cleansing and while "doing work" I guess, probably for the first time, the prostitute and worker in front of her get blown to bits by gunfire, she barely lives, and is taken prisoner. But now all of a sudden she isn't scared? I mean she has her moments where she is ... but that little bit at the end ... I dunno, the shift in character was just painfully noticeable, maybe I am too tired and it really isn't there.
