I'm pretty sure I've read this in MTL before but I'm not sure. This group's translation is quite clear and easy to read.As for the story, I have no problem with a FL who doesn't fall in love in an instant. The FL is new to this world and just really wants to be left on a mountaintop to work on alchemy. She's friendly enough but isn't telling all her secrets. This is completely normal. Only a fool drops all pretense. Also, something that comes up in conversations in western novels is that women are often expected and learn to be polite, much more polite to potential enemies than men would be. In fact, in online media, the question of "Would you rather be stranded in the wilderness with a bear or a man?" has been popular recently. Our FL knows what a bear would do but she doesn't know what the would-be ML would do. Because the heroine has very interesting but not obvious personal powers from her previous cultivation world, she chooses to hide her abilities and feelings without being arrogant. That's what I like about her. The ML, however, is so outwardly arrogant that he's not very interesting. He's obvious. Also, compared to our heroine, he hasn't really worked for his skill. He just "evolved." I'm really hoping she ends up on a mountain top and helps her new friends but doesn't develop a love-brain. We'll see - I'm not hopeful. 3.5 out of 5 stars so far.
