Rating: 4.5/5Summary: Shi Chu is an interdimensional being without a home. She lives by traveling from world to world while possessing the bodies of women from those worlds. These women have two things in common; they are all named some version of Shi Chu and they are all very pitiful women. Shi Chu lives their lives for them while avoiding and bettering their circumstances.Warnings: s*xual Assault, Violence, Sexism, Human Trafficking, etc.Translator: Always a fan of Inky Dragon Translation. The quality is very good and there are a lot of graphics and explanations that the translator provides in order to help visualization, organization, and understanding of the plot and nuances. There are also content warnings that are aptly and appropriately provided.Setting:It's pretty interesting that MC isn't human. It's emphasized that due to this, she doesn't have the same emotions that humans do. MC also has a space but doesn't use it for everything.MC:MC is fairly typical for a QT protagonist. She's not particularly scheming but is adept at pretty much anything she does and good at removing herself from messy situations. One thing I really appreciate is that MC is almost more relatable for how open she is to companionship. For someone not human, she spends a lot of emotions caring for and assuming all the concerns and burdens of the women whose life she takes over. She also sometimes takes lovers in the world she's in, which is better IMO than perpetually alone and aloof MCs.There's really not much scheming. MC usually manages to reverse the OG's fate by removing herself from the narrative or small actions with larger impacts. It's also nice that MC often tries to use the skills/technology of the world she's in rather than mixing things. She doesn't invent guns early nor does she commercialize ancient skills in the modern world. She really fits into the world that she's in, even having and raising children at times. It's a lot more logical than some stories with protagonists that never seek companionship or have some sort of in-built no children rule. Drawbacks:MC doesn't actively face slap or stomp on the haters. She just lives a good life and lets karma take care of the adverse party. There's a reason this is slice of life. Romance is also not a big factor in this novel. There are many arcs without romance at all. In one arc, her lover described her as someone who knows how to and values "enjoying life" which is a very apt description. Her ideal situation is where she removes herself from OG's problems or solves them and then lives an idyllic and happy life. This also means that the arcs aren't always as interesting as they could be. No butterflies, no dramatic moments, just MC enjoying life to the fullest.
