I don't know how to feel about this one. At first it's showing a good potential like maybe the OP MC is enemy of OP ML so there will be balance in the story, but nope.Both MC (Gu Mozhi) and ML (Pei Yuan) is already a couple before the story and they're both a demon from the purgatory. Here's the thing, I am fond of OP MC and ML but that's on the premise their relationship is like stranger to lover or enemy to lover. In the novel, their relationship is just so sudden to the point my brain is like"who tf is this guy (ML) suddenly hugging MC in 2nd arc" then he's introduced as the ML.As for the side characters, they're alive but no difference from those cannon fodder.Spoiler
Jian Linlong (this little girl is smart and cute, although she used to be human and is scared at first, she become MC's student at the 1st arc, thanks to that she also inherit MC ability being hungry when meeting "delicious" ghost and eat it. In a way, she's more of a little devil than MC.)
Jian Yang (he's Jian Linlong brother and has the body institution that attract ghosts. MC, ML, and his sister see him as a good tool for farming food lmao).
[collapse]This two are the only consistent side characters so far but they disappear after arc 3/4 (i forgot) bcs the 2 sibling want to be independent. I mean, cmon, I already love the girl so much but then even after the ending story those two never reunite again with MC and ML.As for the plot... do you actually expect any good plot? The ending is even worse than the plot.
