The novel is not bad, but it is not good either. It is bland. The synopsis is interesting, but the writing lacks details which is a problem. Everything is brief like a summary, which causes the problem I will explain in detail below. The author does not bother describing the environment, so you have no idea how you should envision the city/town/village. There's no way to absorb yourself into the world the novel is set it.Battles are written like a summary, thus there's no detail of tension or build up. So it is boring to read.I can't say much about the politics in the novel, since I have not read too far into the novel yet, however the novel impression doesn't seem to go into that route and would rather avoid that route unfortunately. The conversation is another issue lacking in the novel. Too brief and no conflict at all. For example, the author could write the dialog between the guild receptions and MC when the guild receptionist is trying to persaude the MC to not go on the adventure alone. Instead, it is written off as a summary of the event that took place. What is left is basically a bland slice-of-life.
