This one surprised me. I had tried reading it before when the number of chapters was short, but then dropped it due to how dull it felt to me, so I dropped it. Recently I tried reading it again and found it gets better once you push through a dozen of chapters. I perfectly understand that even then it is not that good, but compared to many other novels it aint bad either. I think it's current rating is a bit unfair, so I'm giving it 5 stars, even though my honest rating is 4.Plot-wise I was getting a lot of vibes similar to Shukkaku Mon novel, but better in all regards except the humour. Also a powerful hero that made a comeback, also recurring enemies that make you wonder why didn't they destroy humanity in hero's absense (but not that absurd like in Shukkaku Mon), also surrounded by action girls but no romantic feelings to speak of, other small similarities. But compared to Shukkaku Mon fights feel much more thrilling, if for Shukkaku Mon it took 200 chapters to reach a challenging enemy then here it happens much faster.I'll be adding Shukkaku Mon as the recommended novel simply to denote a similarity, couldn't really recommend it. Current recommendations are bullsh*t anyway. Two shoujo novels, are you serious?
