Koko wa Ore ni Makasete Saki ni Ike to Itte kara 10 Nen ga Tattara Densetsu ni Natteita Chapter 34 Discussion

Usually I’d wait until I’ve read at least 50 chapters to judge something because the idiots who give excellent or terrible reviews after a chapter or two are the worst kind of reviewers.

But this? It’s bland, boring and tasteless. The author is incredibly lazy, it’s almost like there isn’t any motivation.

Setting: It’s unique, I won’t fault it. No edgy betrayals, no massive threats from the get go, the MC finally comes home after ten years in hell and goes with the flow from there.

Plot: It’s either nonexistent or very slow paced. I’d have no problem with the latter if it was done properly. The author has no clue on how to begin and end a chapter properly. One chapter ends with them discussing a fight, the next begins with them talking to a new character with next to no introduction. You’ll get their name, age, gender and race before the plot continues.

What happened between the chapters? You have to figure it out (which isn’t hard, rather simple but lazily done). It’s as if the author expects you to say “ahh so that’s what happened!”

You don’t even get proper character reactions to situations. It’s just “man A hits enemy B”.

Imagine a tour guide uninterested in their role and texting while narrating the history of an area in short sentences without answering any questions. It’s like that.

Characters: Incredibly one dimensional, be it male or female they have the same personality. The author clearly cannot be bothered to invest in personalities and just wants to move the nonexistent plot forward.

It’s always the “yarn yare” bullsh*t attitude.

Fights: Man A hits Enemy B.

Not even the generic japanese novel, lazily and poorly executed by an unmotivated author.

2/5 for the setting, read if you’re bored.
