A very long winded journey of a genius history nerd rising from helpless young girl to overlord of China in the three kingdoms period.

Beware, as there is so much exposition and name dropping that your head will spin trying to keep track of everyone, plus their titles and polite names. This story delves into the weeds of three kingdoms stars everywhere with a good few dozen of them meeting MC before she even gets power.

The beginning chapters are fantastic and very character focused, however the story, themes, and identity of the novel begins to take a nosedive once the MC is out of the initial challenges and in the weeds of politics. All story progression nearly halts and becomes messy, the character goes from using guile and careful planning to just predicting things perfectly and making them happen thanks to her overwhelming strategic mind and ability to read any person.

MC is still hard working, but so often we and the system in the novel are just supposed to be surprised and accept everything that happens was planned for off screen. Other then that, MC is able to gather all kinds of help no matter her gender. She only faces one arc of resistance to her being a woman, and after that is treated as any other MC lord in ancient China.

All in all, a well researched and very dedicated story that is just too long winded, filled with three kingdoms exposition and generally a struggle to enjoy reading.
