Oh I like this so far.For one thing, the mc's depression seems to be handled a bit realistically.Also, as another reviewer pointed out:Spoiler
His family doesn't not love him anymore, just that they're tired and upset and have been for a full 5 years and when you're that tired you take it out on people who don't deserve it. Which yes, they should be blamed for. But I think too, because MC worked so hard to hide how they felt, they kinda assumed he was ok, and never really thought further because they were all busy and tired too. Doesn't excuse their words or brusque actions, and they definitely should have tried to understand a little better, but their actions are also understandable.
