The main character is not a woman, but a man reincarnated as a woman. Or a child in this case. And he acts just like that, as many genderbender stories tend to have the protagonist act. There's not even any of the positives that could be written about with regards to a man being reincarnated in the body of a woman. No dysphoria or anything of that nature. Just the usual "I'm a woman! But I was a guy! Oh well!" The story is less romance and more ego stroking for the author so they can pretend that their isekai story doesn't do all the bad things that other isekai stories do. Except it then goes on to commit some of the exact same cliches that the author complains about. And then it rambles on about the same thing repeatedly for five paragraphs.I'd love to see less genderbender stories in the yuri genre because, let's be honest, a lot of them aren't really yuri but a self insert fantasy into a yuri story.This author has another work on NU that's been partially translated (though thankfully dropped), and that one is worse than this one. But this one isn't much of an improvement honestly. It still has issues with trying to force romance with under-aged kids in the early parts of it.This is definitely overrated even with the low rating that it already has, in my opinion. And I truly mean in my opinion...Because I'm confused by the reviews in here that give it five stars just because they're not happy with how low it's rated or they gave it five stars despite filling their reviews with a lot of criticisms. People aren't going to find enjoyment in something you might like, or they might like something you dislike. Just learn to deal with it. I'm not going to slam someone else for liking this, I'm just commenting on what I've read. I think it's overrated because I'm surprised that so many people rated it highly, not because I think an individual shouldn't enjoy the work. I'm also not going to change my rating on something just because other people liked it or hated it. I'm not giving this one star because I think it needs to be rated lower on average, I'm giving it one star because I, personally, think it deserves one star. Being surprised that it has a rating that it does is separate from my own rating.Now, I will criticize other people finding enjoyment in things that glorify r@p3, s3xu@l assault, p3d0s, and other such topics. This author likes to skirt the line on that last one, but what I read of this didn't actually cross it.Enjoy what you enjoy, dislike what you dislike. Don't hate others for doing one or the other.
