So, I was optimistic going into this because there have been novels that were poorly rated but turned out to be great. This, in my opinion, is not one of those novels.I had to drop it because it was such a one dimensional novel. Not sure if it was the translation or the author, but it was told very much in the FL's perspective. There is no world building or plot intensification. It just mainly followed the FL. So far, a lot of her actions are a bit nonsensical and the 'logic' comes later almost as if the author realized that it was too abrupt of a move. While it's classified as a romance, there is hardly and romance. In fact, there is hardly much substance to this novel. It's a lot of the characters did this and that but not much else that makes the readers look forward to reading more about.As foreshadowed, the translation was not very good. While still readable, it was still machine translated, mistakes were all over the place, and there's a sense of flatness. When I mean 'flat' I mean that the readers still understand the content of the words but there is no sense of beauty in the word choice or construction of the sentences. Hence my confusion as to whether it's the translation or the author's writing that is one dimensional.Regardless, give it a shot if you would like. It's a cookie cutter theme and chock full of tropes. It will be dry.
