This started out really good that I instantly fell in love with it. I like how MC showed his deduction skill in the beginning and I like the mystery surrounding him and the world.

However as time passed I realized the quality drop. For example the arcs has became duller. This is not only because author used more exciting high-risk arc before that, but because the villains and the resolution in the later arcs are also a bit duller and anticlimatic. It's also contributed by the bad pacing. Most things become stale after missing the right time too much. The bad pacing actually has been present since the beginning, I just didn't notice it before because the initial plot and my own curiosity covered it up.

I think this story tends to make many things bigger than it seems, or it might tried to keep up the quality it had in the beginning but failed. For example MC and other characters aren't actually as smart (later on) but they tried to make him so. Then, either ML isn't as strong as I thought, OR maybe I had misconception of this world's strength rating. Not only ML, sometimes I think the power is being exaggerated. Maybe I read too much high fantasy with strong people akin to deities. But you can't blame me after the arc with Spoiler

the public mass mu*der

[collapse]. I expected too much after that.

Sorry this review is much messier than I thought. My opinions are similar with others who gave this less than five stars.

However I don't really regret trying this novel since I did enjoy reading it in the beginning. Although a lot of stuff become anticlimactic, it's not as worse as ruining all the things that it has build. There are many emotional scene and funny interactions that are entertaining too. So it's still worth a try as long as you're cautious not to expect too much like I did in the beginning. Just treat it as casual read despite the seriousness the plot tried to do. The biggest hurdle is probably the pacing (and filler like chapters) that make me skim many of the paragraph.
