Demon Sword Maiden is a hidden gem. Our protaganist is gender bent into his crush after they both die together on earth. Her soul is comatose while he or now she, must survive in a dystopian samurai world. Demons, vices, and danger are ever present. While she does meet some kind souls, she meets far more greedy for her possessions, beauty, or strength.Our protaganist has thrown everything away for love, he/she cannot even be considered girl or boy anymore. Though the determination and dignity of a man is maintained, so is the grace and ethereal beauty of a maiden obtained. Lily is a very interesting character due to all this.... and becomes more so as the series progresses.Ultimately, the plot is good as it is unpredictable. The s*xual and yuri undertones are more so comedic than sexy. I find the story to be excellent.
