Those who rate this book low stars as/for being any kind of 'real' story are basically just idiots. This novel here is pure, 100% unfiltered fluff: really just sugar type reading- this time for guys. The themes include total wish-fulfillment, heartwarming slice of life & romance content (not just as some generic happenstance and single-dimensional harem character collection, but more of the intricate situational stuff such as processing feelings in certain specific circumstances) and almost no drama at all. The little drama there is are in form of backstories that the characters, by themselves or together, strive to fix for their happy endings.Diving slightly deeper.. this is book is almost in its entirety... just sweet romantic treats for guys! That's it. Ngl, I feel like I was kind of little leading you on there: In actuality, since it's not a real "story" story, there's no real 'depth' to this book. I guess most accurate description would be that just like 'Shoujo' type fluff manga, which has its own audience that long for (and to) experience the certain type of feelings that they (the stories) provide, this book provides exactly that kind of feelings, but for guys. And it does it really well. Now what can you expect from reading this then? Well frankly, depending on the type of reader you are, it's either going to be "Damn this feels nice, I want this" for self-insert types or "Damn Kaito you lucky, lucky dog!!" for the omniscient perspective types. Personally I shuffle in between, but that's just me. These are both of course predicated on the fact that you understand what type of book this is, and don't have some weird expectations for it.So what issues does this book have then, if any? Well I guess there would be some, depending on how you interpret the work. One thing that easily comes to mind is the limitation the book has on its own; there is only certain amount of information you can cram into words. And since this book took the route of absolute wish-fulfilling harem with multidimensional characters, well, best I can describe the circumstances inside the book world are that the author is trying really hard to stuff meaningful things into the chapters, without very great success. I wouldn't say he's doing a bad job or anything, but since there are several tens of meaningful characters (with a big part of those being main cast female leads) it's obviously going to be night impossible. There are, and there are being made, character arcs for everyone but, to me at least it, seems very unlikely that the author is ever going have any phenomenal success in this direction of development. Even if every fMC leads eventually gets their arcs, I think I would still just be missing the small stuff that's kind of happening in the background (and/or rather kind of feeling bad for the girls not involved in the arc at the time, since they're also his precious lovers). That's about it. Don't treat this as any real or meaningful story with lots of differing and super complex emotions to cipher from: It's really not that. It's just fluff, a healing type "feelsgood" story.
