Ok, so at this point in the story that I've read up to (Ch679), the main arc is well over. The MC has a harem, but no real progression. Some side stories show futures of him getting married, but it hasn't happened in the main story yet. I had hoped it would move on from what seems to be an endless dating sim to he and his harem moving into a castle or something and dealing with the family dynamic, which to me would be fun, and for big changes like kids, the kid's abilities and antics, how the family would deal with kids antics, and how the world and kids would interact with each other. That seemed to be the next few steps in a slice of life like story such as this. I know there are hundreds of chapters ahead of me, but the lack of progress to this point is a bit stagnating.
