This novel feels like playing persona in terms of the story being predominantly about the development of the support cast and them building their bonds with the MC (which happens to be uninteresting but has just about enough character to trigger the development) take on a trial. It's also similar in terms of how the story is segmented like fluff - serious - fluff (tho 9/10 is fluff or semi fluff here) The thing that stands out to me the most however is the author's notes and the saga of the translator - commentors on the foxaholic site. Author's notes transform eventually to their own world and I came to enjoy the peanut gallery that develops as irrelevant characters keep getting added there tho it's a shame that the author himself goes and spoils minor stuff at times.Novel loses a star because the fluff drags on for too long after the confessions start but I don't think that's too big of a downside for me to hate the novel yet (but I can understand the frustration of people who didn't get to binge up to the chapter I read)
