It's an average for me, it started off well but then I got bored. Not really bored, but I feel that I've gotten what I wanted from the book and there's no thrill in continuing. The translation was not that good, for example green was translated as blue wherein wood energy is obviously known to be green.I liked the male lead, I think he's one of the best male leads that I've come across that suits my taste. He's cold, ascetic, straight forward, has a lot of aura, handsome, and yet not overly domineering. On the other hand, the MC is okay but not one of the best. I like his gentleness and him being an introvert but I don't like how overly polite he is. He uses a lot of choosen polite words be it his superiors, those who are inferior to him, and to worsen it all, his enemies. Even towards his shixiong, he uses polite words that makes it seem as if they're not close yet they've been together for years. Another thing that I don't like about him is that he's always smiling even towards his enemies, trying to appear gentle though I can't blame him because it's his personality.Another aspect that I came to realise is that the ML has a protagonist halo than the MC himself.Spoiler
for example, the MC has a single wooden spiritual root whereas ML has two spiritual roots (though later it becomes one) yet no one praises th MC as they do the ML. When ML forms a golden core before reaching the age of a hundred, he becomes number 5 on the tianlong list, becomes known all over and the sect leader makes him a core disciple yet when it's the MC's turn, the matter, gets overshadowed by other matters. When they go to secret realms the ML comes across treasures that are tailor made for him unlike the MC who even though he is lucky, the things that he gets are not compatible with him.
