This is deceptively good. Especially once you get passed the first few chapters of set up. The first chapter of prologue was confusing since it teased what's to come but that's ignorable once you get into the pacing of the story.
I think it's especially deserving of 5 stars because I'm usually super skeptical on any religious or horror setting. Both aren't really my cup of tea.
The entire story so far is like a mystery thriller. The horror aspect has yet to come as the 'main' storyline has yet to pass. But there's so much reference to it that it's a race to prevent majority of the tragedies that are to come. Honestly it doesn't feel like your traditional BL until way later into the chapters.
The romance on the other hand reads like a romcom most of the time. It's honestly a good way to wind down the mind from the anticipation of the horror aspect that's to come. MC is the definition of having intelligence but no wisdom in this aspect. And it is funny especially when the side characters try really hard to maintain his dignity while not so subtly try to hint it out.
MC feels like your typical transmigrated character. Overthinking the future events that haven't happened yet. Underthinking situations when the obvious answer is there. He's pretty standard in my opinion as MCs go but it's not a bad thing. His reactions are honestly par for the course. Reasonably.
I honestly do know who the real ML is.
Spoiler
It's either the Othergod Hapenesus or the protagonist of the game MC was transmigrated in. I know the protagonist has so much more screen time in the story along with his heavy involvement in the story in the first place but the set up implies that MC and Hapenesus are going to be a thing due to their relationship as God and Apostle. And with how the story is right now, there's a heavy implication that the MC can't escape that relationship. The story even says that death isn't an escape from them either.

But I will say MC and the protagonist interacting is morbidly sweet and hilarious. Especially with the protagonist's ability.
Spoiler
The protagonist has the ability to 'reload' 1hr of time at the cost of his stamina. A quicksave for gamers. My favorite scene involving the reload ability is when the protagonist gave up on a scene with MC only for the MC to turn around the next day and ask him for a lunch date after some explanation. He literally went, "I should've donated to the love god sooner than drain myself with reload" when that happen and I laughed to tears.

There's alot of worrying on MCs part, but the story is super engaging with its weird horror, mystery, thriller, romcom combination.
