The beginning is pretty good. An interesting premise and engaging characters. But about 2/3rds of the way through, it feels like the author decided they just needed to end it and really rushed through the last part of the story. I am glad it wasn't an interminable story, like some web novels are. But the author really just dropped all the interesting plot and forced through an ending. The ending was alright, but jarring.
