Review Update (12/07/2024) Chapter 100 Review :The story starts off pretty weak, especially in the first 50 chapters. The writing quality is shaky, and the MC comes across as incredibly passive. She barely speaks, doesn't correct misunderstandings about her being powerless, and relies on others to drive the plot forward. This makes the opening feel aimless, and honestly, it's a bit frustrating to read. But if you stick with it, things improve significantly. The MC starts becoming proactive, engaging more with the world, and making decisions on her own. That shift gives the story a much-needed spark, and by later arcs, it becomes a proper overpowered isekai transmigration tale with some unique twists.Early on, the story feels like a typical Korean power fantasy. The MC is so ridiculously strong that nothing in this cruel, dog-eat-dog world can touch her. The setting itself is dark and unforgiving, filled with despair, violence, and a "might makes right" mentality. If she wasn't invincible, her journey would've ended immediately, probably with her dead in some ditch. But because she's untouchable, she casually floats above the chaos, unaffected by the struggles and misery around her. This theme carries through much of the story's early parts, and while it might seem shallow at first, it serves a deeper purpose. There's a certain appeal to this kind of setup. It's a fantasy of invulnerability, where you're so strong that the world's darkness simply can't touch you. It might resonates with some people who might feel overwhelmed by life and dream of being left alone, free from conflict. But as the story progresses, it subtly explores the isolation that comes with such power. Being untouchable isn't as carefree as it seems, and the MC's growth reflects that. She starts taking initiative, finding her own motivations, and actively engaging with the world rather than just drifting through it.One of the story's standout features is its side characters. They're not deeply written, but they're undeniably interesting, often more so than the MC early on. Even minor characters, like the Goblin King or some random kidnappers, leave a strong impression. The author does a great job fleshing out these side roles, which is rare in KR novels. The world-building also deserves a nod. It's a cruel and unforgiving place, but the contrast between its harshness and the MC's overpowered journey keeps things intriguing.By the time you hit the later arcs, the story really starts to shine. The author begins tying back to those early, seemingly inconsequential moments, giving them more depth and meaning. The MC's character development is slow but rewarding, and her interactions with the growing cast of characters become much more dynamic and enjoyable.Overall, this is a story that starts rough but rewards patience. It evolves from a mediocre, aimless power fantasy into an engaging isekai adventure with solid character growth and a surprisingly rich world. It's not flawless, the early parts drag, and the MC's indifferent personality can be polarizing, but the later chapters more than make up for it. If you're into overpowered MCs, unique world-building, and interesting side characters, this is definitely worth giving a shot. Stick with it, and you might be surprised by how much it grows.• • •Previous Review (Chapter 30) : This novel contains atleast one face-slapping scene in every arcSince no one has written a review yet, I guess I'll be the poison tester for this novel.Just a heads-up: this review is super subjective, like my other reviews. Being objective is such a hassle. The story is interesting in a way, with no real tension. The protagonist brute forces her way through every problem, making the story light and quite wholesome. I appreciate the author's inclusion of cruelty in the world, similar to "Seoul Object Story." It shows that while the protagonist might have a carefree, happy life, others don't. I quite like Lu's character too; at first, I thought he'd be another Paimon, but he turns out to be likable, like an inexperienced nanny, quite responsible and sensible. Now, the downsides. The main character doesn't really work for me. Her indifferent and carefree personality seems off, especially since she's from Earth. She has zero self-preservation instincts and is incredibly ignorant. Though that personality of her have some charm in it, I kinda hate and love it at the same time, the author really needs to explain why she's so indifferent. The plot feels aimless, and honestly, the side and minor characters are more interesting than her. Even the Goblin King and the kidnappers have more depth. I hope the author gives her some backstory to explain her behavior. Tbh the side-characters in the novel are quite good. They are very interesting, kudos to the author for that part, interesting side-characters are quite uncommon for KR novels. To be clear it's "interesting", not well-written.Overall, I'd rate it 7.5/10. It's light, straightforward, there are certainly flaws here and there but I enjoyed it. Give it a try if you're looking for some light entertainment.PS. Some might say, "Doesn't she want to have an adventure? That's motivation." Maybe, but it feels too broad for me. I prefer novels with clear goals, but I won't deny that claim.I do recommend giving this novel a try; you might like it. Despite "depictions of cruelty, " the story is wholesome most of the time, so no worries. It has a certain vibe that keeps me wanting to read more about their adventures and encounters.
