Kajiya de Hajimeru Isekai Slow Life Chapter 25 Discussion

The thing that irks me in this novel is how the author has no knowledge of blacksmithing.

Hell, considering that he makes molds and casts iron with a regular furnace, I don't think he even bothered to make a quick search on the topic to know how melting iron is quite a task, and how the hammering was made to remove slag impurities or shape it in lower temperatures. Or how this wrought iron produced in old bloomeries had to be mixed with cast iron in another furnace to make actual steel. How the tempering is necessary to make the steel harder. I could go on and on...

If it all boiled down to 'magic' it would be fine, but the Author tries to explain the process in a non-magical way and it's painful to read, specially when said blades are so incredibly stronger than regular ones 'because cheat' but the way of making is s*upid and wrong.

The Author should've just omitted the smithing part like other novels with the premise usually do, make some reseach before writing, or create an unique fantasy way of smithing (prefered). Not this mumbled mess poorly mashed out together.

Aside from that things are too standard: MC with cheat, girls keep appearing and flocking to him by chance, little challenge, plot or character progression etc etc.

But it's a chill novel and it is advertised as slow life, so I won't say is completely bad. I'd read it if the knowledge of smithing was less dumb.
