The MC Didi is not the brightest, but what she lacks in self-preservation/common sense, she makes up for in comedy and gunho enthusiasm! And our ML Vileon is the greenest of MLs. He's not the one note, filling taste of congee. As the story progresses, what we think is a pretty straight laced character is actually nuanced and crazy in his own way. This isn't a story for using your brain. It doesnt so much focus on exciting intrigue but rather on the experiences that have natured or nurtured our preferences and how that define our quest for love, aversion of love, and what love is for each of us. Not as serious as all that. It's just I've read a lot of complaints about the MC trying to change the ML in her quest to help the ML and she already KNOWS that shouldn't be the way, but she and the ML are both battling the hopelessness of unrequited love so there's not much one can do.As far as the novel translation, as we all know, Korean being a mostly gender neutral language, a lot of pronouns get mixed up so you kind of just need to keel track of initial genders and go with it or try to remember by context. It's not the worst and is certainly not one of those mtls. Dorothea even gives us colloquial context notes at the bottom of chapters. ^_^
