Assistant Manager Kim Hates Idols Chapter 65 Discussion

  • #1
The basic premise is really interesting—random overworked office worker gets forced to be an idol. The resulting skill set that he has is so unique—the ability to read the room, flatter your boss, finish work quickly, copy write and write reports, conduct market research. Applied to idols, and it gets fun.

but the more you read about the hints the MC drops about his old job, the more abusive and awful you realize it was. This story is about him using his hard earned skills for his idol group, but also about realizing his own worth and his own value; things he was robbed of in his previous job. I’m convinced that his manager hated him bc our MC was too hot.

The members of his group are surprisingly well written and their relationship with the MC is so wholesome, especially when they call him out on his double standards (MC forcing them to eat well and sleep when he’s neglecting himself). Really looking forward to more!!
