Your typical op MC face-slapping novel and you're getting exactly what the description said. It's still an entertaining novel with some good highlights about chinese culture and Spoiler
a mu*der subplot (?) from where I'm at and the history between the MC and ML is pretty interesting. EDIT: There wasn't a mu*der sub-plot but there's multiple world travelers and one of them was messing with mc
[collapse].The MC, xu qiao, is also the typical cold, genius, good at every MC although his personality is because Spoilerof all the novels he transmigrated to and how he'd learn to 'separate' himself from the world and him wanting to relax after the apocalypse novel
[collapse]. His relationship with the ML is very cute and will give you diabetes. He can also be a bit dense, intentionally or not, which add to his charm imo.Basically, this is a "feels good" novel so anyone reading this shouldn't expect deep lore, plot twists, or any can of out-of-this-world writing. I still really like this author and would def recommend this to anyone who just wants a fun read.EDIT: finished mtl-ing the novel. After reading through the whole novel, I want to revised my statement about this being a faceslapping novel. Although the entertainment aspect is very prominent in this novel, and how MC is OP af, I would say that this is more of fluffy romance story between MC and ml. They're basically soulmates. And I love how their relationship is portrayed throughout, it feel very natural and certainly a slowburn as they got together officially after 80 chapters. There's not really any angst in their relationship but more of a "feeling realization" and "exploring what this thing between us is". Btw, there's no explicit sexy scene between the two of them but it's heavily implied in like 2-3 parts.
