First of all, a Youjo Senki this is not. If you want a military story, look else where. This story is a trajedy through and through. A story about people in a war and how they deal with being people in a war.If you are easily emotionally manipulated by an author (I am one of these people) and get easily attached to characters, this is the novel for you. People will die and they will die like flies. Without reason, without little or no conclusion to their arc. Are you in the need for catharsis? Read it, if not, wait until you want to feel sad. Yes, it is a bit torture p*rn-i. Yes, the military maneuvers make little sense. But if you are here to remember the fallen, their smile and laugh, their hate and faults, read this.Faulty, but I can't help, but love it.
