Couldn't wait for the translation, so I dove into the raw and finished the novel. It’s hands-down the best web novel I've read this year. Though inspired by Youjo Senki, it sets itself apart with a stronger focus on the brutal realities of war and the intense struggles of individuals trying to escape the relentless cycle of violence. It’s not without flaws—there are a few subplots that wasn't fully explored, and some developments feel like they could be handled better. I genuinely hope the author will consider refining these areas in the book version, or maybe in the manga.
