Hence, we have a comedic tale of a daughter forcing her father to become a good student.Starting as poor farmers, with the help of a few golden thighs the family claws their way up from the village to the capital, along the way uncovering the details of many conspiracies. While some topics such as their tragic backstories are treated seriously, as a whole this is a comedy and as such there are a lot of things you wouldn't expect from a serious novel.Many plots in this are well known tropes anybody who reads cnovels will be familiar with, but the story still felt fresh because of the main leads and some unique subversions.Because this story was very enjoyable and contains many aspects I personally enjoy (found family, good friendships, quality characterization, etc.) I give it a 4.5. For those who don't like the things that I do, I'd give it a four.Especially in the latter half, maybe because it got too long and complicated, the author sometimes didn't expound on things enough. As a reader I felt like I had to accept things at face value when the logic was questionable. And a few questionable things and characters were dropped.Still, this is a good read, if you're not someone who needs to take things seriously try it out.
