Big dumb barbarian hero regresses and decides to aim for a level beyond human limits but he does not know how.So what does he do? He decides to learn how, acquire knowledge, go to school and figure out how to get stronger.But being the barbarian that he is he takes ages to learn anything and can barely read a couple pages of text before he passes out.As of chapter 46 MC has managed to power through with power and experience whilst making friends with members of the hero party who in their youth also attended the same school.I find that the best part of the novel has been in that the MC actually remains as a big dumb barbarian and didn't just get a "fruit of knowledge" or a "blessing of wisdom" to turn him into a generic main character with no distinguishing qualities.
