This story is the antidote to the moth podcast when they say "I hope you have a story worthy week". I actually hope I don't have a week worthy of a story because I value the bliss that comes from stability and calm happiness. I don't need excitement in my life - there are so many small enjoyable moments that are immensely satisfying to me in a way that no story can communicate. A mature and steady love is a wonderful experience - having someone who understands and appreciates you, who you have mutual respect for, who is considerate and supportive, and who you enjoy sharing a life with. Let's be honest, the best love doesn't make for an exciting story. And that's this story's downfall.

It's about a beautiful love. The MC and ML have a wonderful understanding and mature approach to life. There is no unreasonable revenge or extreme plots. The MC is reborn and manages to skirt the tragedy that ruined his previous life and become his best self. Along the way, his calmness attracts a very rationale ml's interest who then proceeds to boil the frog slowly until they both acknowledge their feelings and how much they both want a relationship. It's a wonderful relationship for them, but a pretty bland story for us.

I think there's probably a way that this type of story could have worked, but it probably needed more subplots and drama. And to be fair, if my life was very chaotic, or if this story was 80 chapters shorter, I think I would have really enjoyed this story. But in the end, I think the pacing was too leisurely and the romance was too prefect. They did not have a story worthy week (or year).
