Pros:
- ML was VERY respectful while chasing MC. He wasn't obtrusive, he just appeared in front of MC from time to time. He respects MCs boundaries. 10/5 this was very well done.
- Both MC and ML enjoy their s*xual relationship. You know, as opposed to "a character says that he is not in the mood but his partner proceeds anyway" or "a character was f*cked into unconsciousness while begging for the other to stop".
- Demis*xual protagonist. While MC gave an excuse "I am not into men" for not wanting to date ML, it was just that: an excuse. In reality he was not sure what he finds attractive since he was never interested. He fell in love with ML only after they knew each other for a whole year and he liked him as a person first.
- Bis*xual side character is treated with respect. MLs brother is openly bis**ual, has a history of dating a lot of people of both gender, and no one makes any derogatory comments about it. (I've read enough chinese BL novels to be very surprised by the lack of biphobia and slut-shaming).
- Plot. I've read a half of the novel, so far it is just MC having a smooth sailing in career. No obstacles to overcome, no new things to learn. No, he already is a very skilled actor who is on par with a movie emperor who has 20+ years of experience (despite never having any important roles in his first life. Where did he learn such great skills?).
- Characters. Both MC and ML are very boring characters. MC is always composed, always knows what to say, never loses his cool. He is a great actor, singer, violin player. ML is even less emotional than MC. Both of them are not cold, just bland. It is not interesting to follow them. Side characters are not worth mentioning.
- Pacing. While MC and ML knew each other for a year, because of frequent timeskips it felt like a couple of months.
