(Dropped after 43 chapters.) Hm. The characters are likeable enough that it's good for if you really just want one of those silly, lightweight romances where you turn your brain off and enjoy watching the couple come together in the most cliched, predictable, trope-filled way. It's nice that there are some other characters who feel like proper characters (even if not fleshed out), and it's nice that this stereotypical cold CEO does actually have some personality. For me, it's just too full of certain tropes and clichés of this genre that have always annoyed me.A few examples: The naive "straight" shou who manages to find every reason not to think this is all gay. I'm fine with a nuanced, realistic progression of a character discovering they have feelings for someone of the same s*x and perhaps having to come to terms with that. This is instead an example of when it's used just to drag out the couple getting together, and to be "funny" because the MC is exceptionally dense about it.Really stereotyped "roles" in the relationship. In one part the MC is even comparing the ML to a more effeminate person he once knew who was gay, and thinking the ML can't be gay because he's not like that - and the author's comments at the end have the ML saying "Did you ever think I might be a top?" GAH. I personally really hate when writers rigidly equate a preference for a s*xual position with a set physical type and personality type. I also dislike the repetitive relationship formula that goes with this type of writing. If you're someone who either doesn't mind those things, or even enjoys those clichés, then I'm guessing this might turn out to be a pretty sweet little time waster. For me, although I want to like the story, I've hit my cringe limit.
