True Star Chapter 166 Discussion

Guilty pleasure - a light and easy read. It is so satisfying to witness the calm and capable MC unleash their talents in acting and manipulation to dominate and pave way to a successful career!

However, I've detracted stars due to the MLs (yes, plural as this is a harem). I do not find the MLs likeable. They are controlling and dominating. I cannot overlook the problematic nature of the way their relationship with MC began Spoiler

Charles r*ped the MC in the beginning and then they entered a contracted sexual/sugar-baby esque relationship which is a yikes, LTC was disrespectful and had pimped out MC's originally and looked down on them... and third ML is psychopathic

The MC by far outshines the MLs. He can be quite a bit too unemotional at times, but I'd say this can be reasonable given his past experience.

MC had a heart condition in the past life so they had to practise maintaining calmness to avoid exacerbating their condition

Overall

Satisfying to read about the MC slaying the entertainment industry. MC is calm, cool, and clever.

Sadly, I do not buy into the romance which really detracts from the overall enjoyability of the novel.
