Aaaaaaaaahhhhh. I like this soooooo much.......*ahem* So anyways, let’s get started.True Star is a beautiful cluster of things BL. The MC is a beautiful cluster of individuality, talents, wittiness, and emotional fortitude. Although the fact that he acts and keeps himself calm all the time because of his heart disease do get too convenient sometimes but it doesn’t get overly ridiculous, imo. He wakes up after death, in another body, and get drugged and r*ped on the first day. “All is fine as long as I can enjoy the bath with TV” is his kind of reaction. Oh don’t get it wrong, he doesn’t sell himself. He develops this attitude at first because he has no support from anyone except the man he’s being forced to sleep with, Charles. He can’t get out of this situation so he calmly follows the flow and analyze his position. This may seem cheap but that was the best choices anyone could make, imo. It’s also so very satisfying to find that very man falls in love so deeply. He turns a bit annoying though but worry not, there’s another guy, his boss. The boss, Lu Tian Chen, at first, hates the original persona to the core. He detested him, u can say. He was also the one who sold the original to Charles in the first place. After he interacts with the MC for multiple instances, he takes an interest and starts falling in love too. This happens when the MC gets out of “having to sleep with Charles for a month” situation. The boss takes him in and granted, he falls. Unlike Charles who is overly passionate, he is rational and self restraint. Spoiler
To this last east update, he hadn’t had s*x with the MC yet, although he does try to but to no avail as the MC firmly rejects the idea of sleeping with his boss.
[collapse] He cares a great deal about the MC and doesn’t keep a grudge as he accept the new MC and decided to support him regardless of whatever happened in the past. He is a man that doesn’t let his emotions get too much of him and his business. On the other hand, Charles is devoted, passionate, and obsessive to the core. Both of them are possessive and loving and are a bundle of walking pheromones. They officially become mc’s male repellant so as to keep others from getting close to him, lol. The way they share and divide the mc’s love is hilarious but personally I prefer the boss over Charles. There’s also another possible candidate too but he’s not getting too far (because of the 2 bodyguards). Honestly, a lot of people complain that this is all just s*x. It’s true, there’s a lot of s*x. But there’s also a lot of infatuation and this is more of an adult love rather than fluffy or light BL actions. I wouldn’t want it to change.The story also gives a focus to the drama behind the celebrity world and I have to admit, it was very enjoyable. I do not know if it is realistic or not, as I am not a celebrity and am in no way connected to them, but I still enjoyed the angst regardless. I felt like “Hey it’s actually interesting if the real world is actually this way”. It’s just an interesting viewpoint of celebrities and rich people. Not only that, this has been slightly turning towards a more dangerous side of things like the underground world and I would love to see more. It’s gonna be much more exciting if that happens is how I feel.The characters may not seem likable for certain readers but they have developed personalities and individuality. They have different viewpoints and different priorities and that’s beautiful. The plot is exciting and keeps at a regular pace. The romance is not too slow but not too fast. The MC is op and a massive combo of delicious. The side characters do need a little more complexity.Just go and read it because it was honestly better than I expected and I just love the MC, freaking queen uke getting all these favorite types of possessive semes. There’s both hot sexy actions and light subtle touches and whispers of love. It’s gonna satisfy the yaoi selves and those looking for an interesting enough plot line.
