I like it! I almost didn't keep reading after the prologue because of how rushed and messy the lil teaser s*x scene they threw in there to hook people in was, but I'm glad I decided to give it a bit more of a chance! Does it have some real cliche 'Yeah of course that's what happened' moments in it? Sure, tons, but when you keep reading you see that many of them are not as cliche as you first think that they are, which is great. Unlike what I expected, despite its smutty tags and the prime set up for being just a complete smut-fest, I'm on chapter 57 without a single bit of s*x. They're reeeeally taking it slow on the progress, for sure, which is only a problem when you're reading it hoping for an immediate payoff lol, which I was, let's be honest, but I'm not disappointed at all! It's also quite nice that there's no constant misunderstandings, like how most novels these days love to freaking slather on. Sure, the FL likes to try and dissuade herself from seeing the obvious, even despite the ML flat out confessing, but it's pretty darn reasonable due to the plot, so you can't blame her. She comes around pretty nicely to things, and there's no time to be angry with her.Think my only complaint is that sometimes they say stuff in a really confusing way, like saying the ML's father had no direct children, and then a sentence later expressly stating that his father and mother had him unwillingly due to plot reasons (which obviously means that yes, his father is in fact directly blood related to him). Some of it could just be the translating, or some of it could be the writer forgetting what they themselves just wrote. I've caught the story doing plenty of these little moments of contradicting itself like that, but again, who knows the reason. But despite these weird little moments in the story, I still really enjoyed it, enough to look past them.So yeah, give this thing a chance!
