Both the ML and MC are rather OP but so far, the MC is a bit weak as a guide. But he does have the unusual physique of atleast a B-Level sentinel.
[collapse]One more thing, the plot of this novel is really interesting. I won't consider it a spoiler since its already mentioned in the summary but both the MC and ML have a pretty special background. ML is a reborn person who already experienced two lifetimes and is experiencing his third lifetime with MC now, while MC is a transmigrator from our earth.SpoilerMC is also half-russian and half-chinese (his mother is chinese and his father is russian I think) ! I sorta forgot his russian name since it's a bit hard to remember but its probably something like Anatolia something-something. And ML gave him a nickname of A-na because of that.
But both his parents are pretty much absent in his life (referring to MC). His mother abandoned him when he was six and he never even met his father. He was adopted by a russian man who works as an assassin and died later on, passing his relics as an inheritance to MC. Too bad though, MC transmigrated afterwards.
Oh and although the MC and ML are very OP, they do have some drawbacks and weaknesses so far (my knowledge is only limited up to until c49). Basically, ML suffers from Mental Space Atrophy or something and, its easy to cure if it weren't for him having a severe lack of compatibility to almost all guides- the exception being the MC. MC is the only one who can heal him.
And MCs drawback is that, although he is gifted physically, he's a complete newbie using his mental strength. Sure he can use it to attack, but he isn't super skilled at using it as a guide to assist and protect his sentinel, ML. And he's also apparently, horrendous, awful, and terrible in aerial combat. He doesn't know how to drive a battleship at all. He doesn't know how to drive a car either, I'm not sure if this will be his long-term or even permanent weakness, or the author will make him improve his skills. But so far, his future looks bleak in the path of aerial combat. Even Dr. Chen told him to give up, hes hopeless.
So they aren't entirely OP in conclusion.
Oh and the relationship route of the MC and ML seems to be the 'Get married first, then fall in love' path. But it doesn't matter so soon! It seems MC is already developing some feelings for ML, and so is the ML. It's a bit vague, not very obvious. But MC is rather clingy and softer towards ML now. I'm not even sure he noticed it yet. Sure its because of his heat, but he acts mostly normal around ML!
And he always thinks about ML when ML isn't nearby. Well, its attributed to his heat but I still think a part of it is MCs genuine feelings for the ML. And it was written there in a paragraph, that MC feels calmer and safer whenever ML is around. Like basking in warm sunshine. So he did develop some feelings for ML. Plus he took initiative to have a permanent marking/union with the ML! It felt so sweet how the MC is very indulgent to the ML despite being outwardly cold to him.
I'm not even sure if MC noticed it yet but he's very indulgent and soft towards the ML, its obvious from the start too! ML deliberately acted pitiful towards the MC and MC knows that. But he still indulged in the ML and gave in to him, giving him a temporary marking in the middle of the island competition thing. (You know, the one where ML picked up a bunch of supply boxes for the MC and MC ran at full speed with ML for two hours straight?) Basically that arc.
So although the dog food looks absent. Theres still so much hints of MCs feelings towards ML and vice versa! Well, ML already confessed his love to the MC but I don't consider it official dog food yet until MC says he likes him back. But it seems like they'll take the 'I don't have to say I love you to you because actions speak louder than words' route? Not sure, but anyways, don't listen to talkingtothestars review. Theres plenty of dog food! The romance isn't absent, and the plot isn't absent! The plot is centered around MC and MLs romance, and a bit about the original protagonists, Pan and uh, Yao-something (I'm sorry, I'm really bad at remembering names...)
[collapse]Aside from the background of the our MC and ML, their personalities are really interesting and equally abonormal. You'll get what I mean once you read further into the chapters and pass through the 'Central Hospital ML crying on the fence shouting about su*cide' arc. Its probably a heavy spoiler but uh, It's just one sentence. I won't say much. Just saying that the MC and ML are equally a chaotic little duo and theres a reason why the MC stayed and fell in love with the villain sentinel ML. Unlike a normal person that would already plan to run away from the crazy ML.Which made their relationship unexpectedly healthy and equal (You'll get what I mean if you read into the novel deeper). Plus so far, its already concluded that MC is a gong and MC never took advantage of ML too! He even comforted ML during their heat. And uh, its mostly ML persuading MC to permanently mark each other (After MC mentioned it). (I feel like I should use the spoiler function by this point) Anyway, I won't say much. I really like this novel, and originally I wouldn't dare rate this novel until I finish it but uh. Its too late- I don't know how to undo it. I only know how to change my rating, and I don't really wanna rate such a good novel with a mediocre rating. So uh- yep- (T0T I promise to be more careful next time- I haven't even completed half of the novels chapters but I already rated it. I know its an accident but eek- my conscience still feels hurt-) I'm planning to wait for the translators updates on this novel, since MTL isn't really reliable ATM. Although I do feel a little tempted. I plan to wait a few days before doing MTL.But like um, back to the topic of reviewing this novel. I highly recommend it, the dog food is subtle but sweet. And the plot is both intriguing and delightful!
