Interesting premise but romance and plot were offline.

I get the feeling that the author is unsure what kind of novel this should be. While it should have been an adventure novel, the ending was written like a school life novel. There was no real climax in the novel and bam it just ends anticlimactically. It was disappointing because the novel actually started off pretty well, and I thought some plot points at the beginning were well-timed. But the plot logs off 3/4 into the novel.

And the romance, I don't feel it at all. Both of them give the impression that their romance was because they only had one choice for a romantic interest, which makes the romance very bland. There were one or two moments that should have been touching but there was almost zero emotional impact because it was just brushed off and the story moved on.

Overall, cool story idea written in a bland manner.
