I got into this series due to a friend's recommendation. At first, I wasn't sure what I was reading. After all, how could the protagonist never realize what is going on?However, I've come to really enjoy this story. Regardless of the fact that the protagonist is likely one of the densest I've ever read about, this story is one of the only ones that I continue to revisit just because of how much it makes me laugh.The story isn't for everyone though. The translator does clearly state this on the main page for the series. If you enjoy laughing at the antics of characters reacting based on misunderstandings, and aren't looking for a series that focuses more on action and adventure, then I'm sure you'll enjoy this story like I have.
