I loved it! This is my first time reading about a crybaby gong. Surprisingly I didn't get annoyed even though he is crying 80% of the time lol, I was amused and sometimes distressed when the gong cried. The shou is very steady, although he is aloof, he never mocked the gong for his flaws, he is not good at outwardly expressing himself due to some things that happened in the past but he cares about Feirong a lot, in his own way.Spoiler
When Feirong found out the reason for their marriage and when he was being punished yet never shed a tear it broke my heart. There's also a parallel of him as a young child resting his bloodied body on the tree and unknowingly meeting Dijun for the first time and him going to the sacred tree after the final battle, which was heartbreaking. 😭 Regarding the Heavenly Emperor, he deserved what happened in the end. He and Linyun both made their choices which led to what their relationship is now. I guess you could say that result is their karma.
[collapse]The only thing I did not like was that there is no extras at all 😭. I wanted to know more about the relationships of the 3rd brother and 4th sister!Overall, I will recommend this. It's a light read and it's short, I finished it in 3-4hrs. Imo there is just enough mystery, drama, romance, smut, and comedy in it. It can get a little confusing if you're not familiar with Xianxia but the translator did a great job translating, they also added explanations for some terms which I appreciate very much! ❤️
