I liked this book a lot! I struggle with finishing books and I read through this with no problems. Miscommunication is the crux of the tension between ML and FL, but it wasn't annoying to me. Their motivations made sense, so it didn't feel like made up drama.It was fun having the characters be beastkin. Their animal characteristics pop out when they are overwhelmed with emotions. It could be cute or threatening depending on the situation.FL's family is very doting and protective (for a good reason). It was great to see the dad simp for the mom, and the mom support the dad. Very wholesome.This book has a lot of tropes I like:-Beastkin-Cold Duke of the North-Overprotective and Wholesome FL family-Fluffy moments btw ML and FL-Slowly fall in love while in a contractual relationship
