It had a decently promising start, though I'd never accuse this novel of being a literary masterpiece. It was around chapter 34 that this went to shit.Spoiler
The author seems to have become confused at this point, thinking that this was a shounen action novel, and doing a completely unnecessary and uninteresting tournament arc that lasted for over 20 chapters. Yuri novels generally don't have this trope, and now we know why, because it absolutely destroys the story.
[collapse]I ended up dropping this the chapter after the tournament arc ended, because by that point, I'd just lost any interest. After reading the first few chapters of the tourney and being thoroughly disappointed, I basically just resorted to briefly glancing at the page, and if I saw an obviously tournament related title, I didn't even read the chapter.If you're into yuri, don't read this. If you're into tournament arcs, still don't read this. The author doesn't know what he wants this story to be, and I don't know who the target audience is anymore, or if there even is one.
