My Feelings Can Wait Chapter 84 Discussion

  • #1
Not sure how I feel about this one. I haven't completed it yet but I am debating if I should. Though I like the main couple I feel liked everything else aside from their relationship is very lackluster. Furthermore, one of the things I hate the most about modern stories are the inevitable tie-in with the entertainment circle and homophobic parents. This novel's got both and it just irks me to no end.

Let's talk about the cons:

  1. Side characters have no development at all. They are there as dressing and slowly just fade into the background.
  2. Too much emphasis on Weibo posts and CP fans. Made me skip a majority of the chapters when they start mentioning ut. It does nothing for me and just drags down the pacing.
  3. Pacing - unbelievably slow and tortorous. Yes, I get that with what happened in the past life the FL is cautious and doesn't want to rush in. However, the problem is not with how slow things develop between them but with the entertainment circle crap that the author brings in from time to time just to drag it out even more.
Pros:

  1. One of the most realistic adult relationships I've read. They really try to unravel every single knot from the past in order to move forward. Both sides are willing to work together and there's a give and take to balance it out.
  2. The writing of the dialogue and minute descriptions of their body language is very well done and brings that extra layer of angst.
